Invesco Solar Energy UCITS ETF Acc

Investment Risks

For complete information on risks, refer to the legal documents. The value of investments, and any income from them, will fluctuate. This may partly be the result of changes in exchange rates. Investors may not get back the full amount invested. As a large portion of this fund is invested in less developed countries, investors should be prepared to accept a higher degree of risk than for an ETF that invests only in developed markets. As this fund has significant exposure to one or a small number of sectors, investors should be prepared to accept a higher degree of risk than for an ETF with a broader investment mandate. The value of equities and equity-related securities can be affected by a number of factors including the activities and results of the issuer and general and regional economic and market conditions. This may result in fluctuations in the value of the Fund. Investments into the clean energy sector are considerably exposed to investment trends focused on environmental factors and may have sensitivities towards ESG related government regulations and tax implications. The Fund might be exposed to a limited number of positions which might result in greater fluctuations in the value of the Fund than for a fund that is more diversified.

Product description

The Invesco Solar Energy UCITS ETF Acc aims to provide the net total return performance of the MAC Global Solar Energy Index (the “Reference Index”), less the impact of fees.

The Reference Index is designed to track the performance of companies globally within the solar energy industry, with diversified exposure to all solar technologies, the entire value chain and related solar equipment. The Reference Index focusses on companies deriving a significant amount of their revenues from producing solar power equipment including tracking systems, inverters, batteries and other energy storage systems; supplying raw materials, components or services to solar producers or developers; or solar power system installation, development, integration, maintenance or finance.

Market capitalised weightings are adjusted to reflect the proportion of the company’s revenues from solar businesses. Companies earning less than one-third from solar-related activities are excluded. Companies with any revenues from fossil fuels, nuclear power or certain other controversial business activities will be excluded from the Reference Index as will any company with an S&P Governance Score Screen below five. Securities must also meet certain liquidity and tradability criteria to be eligible for inclusion. The universe of solar stocks is reconstituted annually, and the Reference Index rebalanced quarterly.

The fund aims to achieve its objective by buying and holding, as far as possible and practical, all the securities in the Reference Index in their respective weightings. The fund will aim to rebalance its holdings whenever the Reference Index is rebalanced.

This ETF is passively managed.
