Invesco Physical Platinum ETC punta a replicare la performance del prezzo spot del platino attraverso certificati garantiti da platino fisico. Ogni Platinum ETC è un certificato assicurato da una riserva di platino fisico custodita nei caveau di J.P. Morgan Chase Bank a Londra. L'emittente dei certificati, Invesco Physical Markets PLC (Invesco PMP), è una società domiciliata in Irlanda amministrata da J.P. Morgan Administration Services (Ireland) Limited.

Il rendimento potenziale sugli investimenti è ottenuto attraverso la custodia di platino fisico, che è valutato giornalmente all'asta per il London Bullion Market Association ("LBMA") Platinum Price. L'ETC usa un approccio "swing bar" in base al quale una quantità di lingotti di platino equivalente almeno al pieno valore dei certificati è custodita in un conto assegnato a nome dell'emittente.

Gli ETC Invesco sono certificati negoziati in borsa, e non fondi o exchange traded fund.

1. The daily precious metal entitlement is the amount of Fine Troy oz that is held as collateral for each certificate and decreases by the management fee which accrues daily. The total precious metal held is only reduced over a month when precious metal is sold to pay fees. The precious metal entitlement takes fees into account on a daily basis.
