Invesco MSCI Europe ESG Leaders Catholic Principles UCITS ETF Dist

Product description

The Invesco MSCI Europe ESG Leaders Catholic Principles UCITS ETF Dist aims to provide the net total return performance of the MSCI Europe Select Catholic Principles ESG Leaders 10/40 Index (the “Reference Index”), less the impact of fees. The fund distributes dividends on a quarterly basis.

The Reference Index is free-float-adjusted market-capitalisation weighted and provides exposure to large and mid-size European-listed companies. It is designed to align with the investment principles of the Catholic Church by combining a best-in-class approach from an ESG perspective, with strict values-based exclusion criteria. Constituent selection is based on MSCI’s leading ESG research and exclusions from broad consultation with the Catholic Church.

The constituents of the Reference Index are selected based on having high ESG ratings relative to their sector peers, consistent with the best-in-class selection process of the MSCI ESG Leaders methodology. Broad exclusion criteria, consistent with the MSCI SRI Index methodology, are applied to remove companies involved in controversial business activities, and an additional Catholic Principles values-based screen is used to exclude companies that engage in activities related to adult entertainment, conventional weapons, abortion and contraceptives, stem-cell research, animal testing and human rights violations. The index aims to provide a similar sector breakdown to the underlying parent index (MSCI Europe Index), with 50% target sector coverage.

The fund aims to achieve its objective by buying and holding, as far as possible and practical, all the securities in the Reference Index in their respective weightings. The Reference Index and, in turn, the fund is rebalanced and reconstituted on a quarterly basis.

Key risks

Capital is not guaranteed: The value of investments, and income from them, can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount you invested.

Index tracking: The Fund will not replicate the performance of its Reference Index perfectly, this is because the Fund will incur drags on performance such as expenses and transactions costs, which the Reference Index is not subject to. If the Fund is unable to hold the securities in the exact proportion required this will affect its ability to track the Reference Index.

Liquidity on secondary market risk: Lower liquidity means there are insufficient buyers or sellers to allow the Fund to sell or buy investments readily. On-exchange liquidity may be limited due to Reference Index suspension, a decision by one of the relevant stock exchanges, a breach by the market maker or respective stock exchange requirements and guidelines.

Value of securities: The value of securities can be affected by daily stock market movements. Other influential factors include political, economic news, company earnings and significant corporate events.
