Invesco MSCI Europe ESG Leaders Catholic Principles UCITS ETF Dist

Investment Risks

For complete information on risks, refer to the legal documents. The value of investments, and any income from them, will fluctuate. This may partly be the result of changes in exchange rates. Investors may not get back the full amount invested. The Fund intends to invest in securities of issuers that manage their ESG exposures better relative to their peers. This may affect the Fund’s exposure to certain issuers and cause the Fund to forego certain investment opportunities. The Fund may perform differently to other funds, including underperforming other funds that do not seek to invest in securities of issuers based on their ESG ratings. The value of equities and equity-related securities can be affected by a number of factors including the activities and results of the issuer and general and regional economic and market conditions. This may result in fluctuations in the value of the Fund.

Product description

The Invesco MSCI Europe ESG Leaders Catholic Principles UCITS ETF Dist aims to provide the net total return performance of the MSCI Europe Select Catholic Principles ESG Leaders 10/40 Index (the “Reference Index”), less the impact of fees. The fund distributes dividends on a quarterly basis.

The Reference Index is free-float-adjusted market-capitalisation weighted and provides exposure to large and mid-size European-listed companies. It is designed to align with the investment principles of the Catholic Church by combining a best-in-class approach from an ESG perspective, with strict values-based exclusion criteria. Constituent selection is based on MSCI’s leading ESG research and exclusions from broad consultation with the Catholic Church.

The constituents of the Reference Index are selected based on having high ESG ratings relative to their sector peers, consistent with the best-in-class selection process of the MSCI ESG Leaders methodology. Broad exclusion criteria, consistent with the MSCI SRI Index methodology, are applied to remove companies involved in controversial business activities, and an additional Catholic Principles values-based screen is used to exclude companies that engage in activities related to adult entertainment, conventional weapons, abortion and contraceptives, stem-cell research, animal testing and human rights violations. The index aims to provide a similar sector breakdown to the underlying parent index (MSCI Europe Index), with 50% target sector coverage.

The fund aims to achieve its objective by buying and holding, as far as possible and practical, all the securities in the Reference Index in their respective weightings. The Reference Index and, in turn, the fund is rebalanced and reconstituted on a quarterly basis.

This ETF is passively managed.
